| Science Olympiad Winners
Founded in 1983, Science Olympiad has 14,500 participating K-12 schools around the country. The annual competition consists of 23 individual and group events, and there are four divisions depending on grade level, but there is no national tournament for elementary school students. Teams can have a maximum of 15 students, and the Science Olympiad supports schools having numerous teams. Teams compete in district, regional, state and national tournaments. Medals are handed out for each event and a championship trophy is awarded to the team with the most points at the end of the competition. To look at past event descriptions, click here.
