Mandelbrot Winners
Put on by the Greater Testing Concepts, the Mandelbrot Competition and the Mandelbrot Team Play are mathematical contests for high school students. The Mandelbrot Competition, a test in short answer form, is held five times during the school year in rounds, while the Mandelbrot Team Play takes place three times in the winter and is a way for more accelerated students to practice for other team events later in the year. The Mandelbrot Competition is held at both the regional and national levels, but there is only one league for the Mandelbrot Team Play. Both the high-scoring individuals and schools are recognized with awards ranging from small prizes and to engraved plaques.
