Proofreading
Once you've finished a writing assignment, you may be tempted to turn it in immediately. Not so fast! A careful proofreading can improve your paper dramatically.
First, let the paper (and your eyes) rest for a while. Then, slowly read what you've written as if you were reading it aloud. Look for omitted words, incomplete sentences and punctuation errors. For the best results, proof the paper once, let it rest, then proof it again.
