Your computer houses everything you ever worked on or downloaded, from games to online practice tests to saved homework assignments. That's why, just like separating subjects in a binder, you want to separate files by subject. Start the document name with the subject (Geography) and then put in the title of whatever you're working on (Ch. 2 Lecture Notes). This then groups all your Geography class documents together, making it much simpler for you to find a specific document later on. When the school year is over, it's best to move all your classes' files to a zip folder, meaning that the documents will still be on your computer, but in a smaller, hidden form, to avoid confusion and keep your documents up-to-date and organized.
